Endura Security is hiring a Senior Sales Engineer to help technical buyers understand, evaluate, and successfully adopt our runtime security platform. You will work at the intersection of application security, software supply chain security, Linux, CI/CD, and enterprise infrastructure, translating technically complex capabilities into clear customer outcomes.
You will partner closely with prospective customers from initial discovery through technical validation, helping security, platform, DevOps, and engineering teams understand where Endura fits into their existing security stack and how runtime enforcement can close gaps left by SCA, SAST, provenance, attestation, and traditional detection tools.
About the role
As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will own the technical side of the customer evaluation process.
You will lead technical discovery, deliver product demonstrations, design proofs of concept, answer architecture and security questions, and help customers deploy Endura into real CI/CD environments. You will be expected to understand both the customer's problem and the underlying technology deeply enough to earn credibility with security architects, application security teams, DevOps engineers, platform engineers, and developers.
This is not a scripted demo role. Endura operates at the Linux kernel layer using eBPF and Linux Security Modules, integrates directly into CI/CD environments, and can be deployed as either a managed or self-hosted platform. Successful evaluations often require understanding how a customer's pipelines, runners, Linux environments, policies, identity systems, and security controls fit together.
You will also serve as an important bridge between the market and engineering, bringing technical objections, product requirements, and recurring customer patterns back to the team.
What you will do
- Lead technical discovery with prospective customers to understand their CI/CD architecture, software supply chain risks, security controls, and operational requirements.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to security, engineering, DevOps, platform, and executive audiences.
- Clearly explain how Endura differs from and complements SCA, SAST, provenance, attestation, EDR, and other existing security controls.
- Design and lead technical evaluations, pilots, and proofs of concept using real customer pipelines and infrastructure.
- Help customers deploy Runtime Sensor and connect pipelines to Team Server across supported CI/CD and Linux environments.
- Guide customers through pipeline discovery, policy derivation, observe-mode validation, enforcement, violation triage, and notification workflows.
- Explain Endura's eBPF and Linux Security Module architecture to technically sophisticated evaluators.
- Help customers evaluate deployment models, including managed and enterprise self-hosted Team Server environments.
- Work through integration requirements involving GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, containers, Kubernetes, identity providers, and notification platforms.
- Respond to technical portions of RFPs, RFIs, security questionnaires, architecture reviews, and vendor assessments.
- Develop solution architectures, deployment diagrams, evaluation plans, and technical documentation for customer engagements.
- Partner with sales to identify technical risk early and build evaluation plans that lead to clear success criteria.
- Troubleshoot customer environments during evaluations across CI/CD, Linux, networking, containers, authentication, and policy configuration.
- Work directly with engineering when an evaluation uncovers product issues, integration requirements, or important customer use cases.
- Capture recurring objections and customer questions and turn them into better demos, documentation, enablement material, and product feedback.
- Support customer-facing workshops, technical presentations, webinars, and industry events.
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, security consulting, or another customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of application security, DevSecOps, software supply chain security, or adjacent security disciplines.
- Hands-on familiarity with modern CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity, Bamboo, or similar platforms.
- Strong Linux knowledge and comfort working from the command line.
- Working knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, networking, and modern software delivery practices.
- Ability to explain technically sophisticated concepts clearly to audiences ranging from engineers to executives.
- Experience leading technical product evaluations, proofs of concept, or enterprise software pilots.
- Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar customer environments methodically and independently.
- Strong written communication skills for technical proposals, architecture documentation, RFP responses, and follow-up material.
- Ability to distinguish between product capability, customer configuration, and architectural constraint without overpromising.
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills, including the ability to adapt a technical narrative in real time based on the audience.
- Comfort operating in a small company where Sales Engineering has meaningful influence over product, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
Beneficial skills to have
- Experience selling or implementing application security, cloud security, CNAPP, EDR, runtime security, or software supply chain security products.
- Familiarity with SCA, SAST, DAST, SBOMs, artifact signing, provenance, attestation, and related software supply chain technologies.
- Understanding of eBPF, Linux Security Modules, system calls, process execution, filesystem permissions, or Linux security internals.
- Experience with security policy models such as allowlisting, mandatory access control, or least-privilege enforcement.
- Familiarity with Rust or systems software development.
- Experience with enterprise self-hosted software and customer-managed Kubernetes deployments.
- Familiarity with OIDC, SSO, RBAC, and enterprise identity infrastructure.
- Experience working with security teams on vendor assessments, architecture reviews, or security questionnaires.
- Experience supporting public-sector, regulated-industry, or large-enterprise sales cycles.
- Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST SSDF, SLSA, OWASP, SOC 2, or related security programs.
- Experience creating technical content, workshops, demo environments, or sales enablement material.
What you will get
- Significant ownership over how Endura is evaluated and understood by technical customers.
- Direct access to engineering and the ability to influence product direction based on real customer requirements.
- The opportunity to become deeply involved in an emerging category at the intersection of runtime security and software supply chain security.
- A technically sophisticated product that rewards genuine engineering and security knowledge rather than scripted demonstrations.
- The ability to work directly with security leaders, application security teams, platform engineers, DevOps teams, and developers solving consequential security problems.
- A small, collaborative environment with minimal bureaucracy and substantial individual impact.
- The opportunity to help establish Endura's Sales Engineering practices, technical evaluation methodology, and customer-facing architecture standards as the company grows.
Why join our team
Software supply chain security has largely focused on answering questions about software before it executes: What components are present? Are known vulnerabilities included? Who produced the artifact? Was it signed? Can its provenance be verified?
Those questions matter, but they do not answer what happens when trusted software begins running inside a privileged build environment.
Endura addresses that gap with kernel-level runtime enforcement. Runtime Sensor observes and controls what builds are allowed to do, while Team Server gives customers a centralized place to discover pipelines, derive and manage policy, investigate violations, and respond.
That creates a different kind of Sales Engineering challenge. You will not simply demonstrate another scanner. You will help customers reason about CI/CD architecture, runtime behavior, least privilege, Linux security, policy enforcement, and how Endura complements the controls they already have.
If you enjoy earning trust with highly technical customers, solving problems hands-on, and helping define a new approach to software supply chain security, this role offers significant room to make an impact.
