Endura Security is hiring a DevOps Engineer to help build, automate, and operate the infrastructure behind our runtime security platform. You will work across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Linux, release engineering, observability, and the systems that allow Endura to ship reliably across a wide range of customer environments.

Endura operates close to the Linux kernel and directly inside modern CI/CD environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys infrastructure engineering but also wants to work deeply with the systems developers use every day.

About the role

You will own and improve the infrastructure that supports Endura Team Server, Runtime Sensor development, build and release pipelines, package distribution, and internal engineering environments.

This is a high-ownership role embedded directly with engineering. You will help shape how we build, test, release, deploy, observe, and operate Endura across cloud and self-hosted environments.

The work spans traditional DevOps responsibilities as well as release engineering, Linux systems, container platforms, CI/CD integrations, and security-focused infrastructure. You should be comfortable working across layers rather than treating infrastructure as a black box.

What you will do

  • Design, provision, and maintain secure cloud and production infrastructure using infrastructure as code.
  • Build and operate Kubernetes and container-based environments for Endura Team Server and supporting services.
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, packaging, signing, and releasing Endura software.
  • Automate releases across RPM, DEB, tarball, container, and other Linux distribution formats.
  • Maintain package repositories and software distribution infrastructure used to deliver Runtime Sensor and related components.
  • Build reliable development and test environments across multiple Linux distributions, architectures, kernels, and CI/CD platforms.
  • Improve observability across services with metrics, logs, tracing, dashboards, and actionable alerting.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, upgrades, backups, and recovery.
  • Help validate Endura across GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity, and other build environments.
  • Harden cloud, container, CI/CD, and software supply chain infrastructure using practical security controls.
  • Investigate production and infrastructure issues across application, container, operating system, networking, and cloud layers.
  • Partner closely with software engineers to make development, testing, and release workflows faster and more reliable.
  • Help design infrastructure that supports both Endura-managed deployments and customer self-hosted environments.

What we are looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a similar role.
  • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
  • Production experience with Kubernetes and container runtimes such as Docker, Podman, or containerd.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi, or equivalent.
  • Experience operating infrastructure in AWS, Azure, GCP, or comparable cloud environments.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar systems.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, Go, or another systems-oriented language.
  • Experience designing and operating monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
  • Solid understanding of Linux networking, processes, permissions, filesystems, systemd, containers, and package management.
  • Familiarity with secure software delivery practices, secrets management, artifact integrity, and least-privilege infrastructure.
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems across multiple layers of a system without relying solely on managed tooling.
  • Comfort working independently in a small engineering organization where individual decisions have meaningful impact.

Beneficial skills to have

  • Experience with eBPF, Linux Security Modules, kernel instrumentation, or Linux security internals.
  • Familiarity with Rust or experience supporting Rust build and release pipelines.
  • Experience building and distributing RPM and DEB packages across multiple Linux distributions.
  • Experience testing software across RHEL, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, SUSE, Amazon Linux, Oracle Linux, Alpine, Arch, or similar distributions.
  • Experience supporting both x86_64 and ARM64 environments.
  • Experience operating PostgreSQL in production.
  • Experience with self-hosted or on-premises enterprise software.
  • Experience building reproducible development, CI, or virtual-machine environments.
  • Knowledge of software supply chain security, artifact signing, SBOMs, provenance, or CI/CD security.
  • Experience with Kubernetes security, container isolation, network policy, or runtime security.
  • Experience designing highly automated release engineering systems for systems-level software.
